Press Release

Brevard Public Schools is proud to announce that 55 schools across the district have earned State Designated School Recognition funds for their exceptional performance in the 2023-2024 school year. These funds are awarded to schools that achieved an "A" rating or improved their letter grade from the previous year, showcasing the dedication of our students, staff, and administrators.

In total, 47 traditional schools and 8 charter schools will share an impressive $5.6 million in School Recognition funds. This is up from last year's distribution, which was only awarded to 35 of BPS’ traditional schools.  The individual schools will decide how the funds are utilized; with these funds are most often distributed as bonuses to employees at the qualifying schools, recognizing the hard work that contributes to student success.

We are especially excited to see schools such as Endeavour Elementary, Fairglen Elementary, and Saturn Elementary included in the list, along with 15 other schools that made significant improvements by raising their letter grades.

"This is a tremendous accomplishment for our schools and a testament to the hard work of our educators and students," said Superintendent Dr. Mark Rendell. "We are incredibly proud of their achievements and excited to see these funds benefit the staff who make such a difference in our students' lives."

The district will follow up with each recognized school to provide further details on completing the necessary paperwork to receive their funds.
