Legal Meeting Notice

The School Board of Brevard County, Florida, pursuant to Florida Statute 1001.372(2)(c), provides notice to the public that all legal notices pertaining to the School Board will be made publicly available on the School Board’s publicly accessible website.  This change is intended to ensure timely and efficient communications with the public regarding School Board activities and decisions.  It will be under the Legal Meeting Notice on the homepage.  All notices will be archived and maintained in compliance with state law and regulations. 

Residents may receive legally required advertisements and public notices from the School Board by first-class mail or e-mail upon registering their name and address or e-mail address with the Board’s Clerk at Farnam.Lena@brevardschools.org.  The School Board shall maintain a registry of names, addresses, and e-mail addresses of residents who have requested in writing that they receive legally required advertisements and public notices from the governmental agency by first-class mail or e-mail.

This Notice is made and provided pursuant to the requirements in Florida Statute 50.0311 when a government agency wishes to utilize a publicly accessible website for its legal notices. The School Board encourages all interested parties to regularly visit the designated website to stay informed about upcoming meetings and other important announcements.  For further information, please contact the School Board clerk at Farnam.Lena@brevardschools.org.   

The School Board will publish this notice each year that it utilizes the BPS website for its legal notices.
