Head Start is a full-day program that offers comprehensive services to families and children ages three to five at no cost. Student hours are typically 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (times may vary at each school).
To be placed on the program waiting list for possible selection, families who are interested in services must have an In-Person Interview to complete the application process (video/phone interviews are permitted until further notice).
Eligibility and selection are based on family needs, age and income. Space is limited.
Head Start is for children who turn 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1 of the applying school year (and not eligible to attend kindergarten).
Children with documented disabilities (IFSP/IEP) are encouraged to apply.
Transportation is limited.
Completing an application and In-Person Interview does NOT guarantee selection into the program.
All age eligible applicants are placed on the program's waiting list for one school year.
Please remember that your child is not on the program's waiting list unless you have an eligibility interview and provide all required documents.

STEP 1: Families interested in applying for services must participate in an In-Person Interview.
STEP 2: Gather the Required Documents so you are ready for the eligibility meeting/interview when we contact you (English and Spanish).
STEP 3: If your child is or will be 4 on or before 9/1 then you must also apply for a VPK Certificate by clicking Here.
STEP 4: If you have previously completed an online pre-application, it is not necessary to complete another one. If you have questions about your application, call 321-617-7786 ext. 31383.
STEP 5: If you apply online, you will be contacted by one of our family advocates via phone or email to request additional information within 3 - 5 business days.
